Can my wife use LDN with her Gabapentin and also with Tramadol? The Gabapentin is not really doing anything and we are interested in LDN. At present she is also using Tramadol for Pain, would this be safe with LDN?

Thank You

Paul,

:cowboy: and a warm :howdy: to the forum.

I do not know about taking Gabapentin and LDN at the same time, but if you were to post the same question on

http://www.itshealthytalking.com/forum/

I suspect Dr Tom Gilhooly would answer within a couple of days.

He prescribes my own LDN and is familiar with it, so he probably knows what could and could not be taken at the same time.

Hi Paul,

Sorry I can't help with your question as I have no experience with it, but just wanted to say Welcome to the forum, and to your wife too of course. :howdy:

Look forward to hearing more about you both,

Hi Paul,

I know that you can take Tramadol with Gabapentin. But I dont take ldn so can't comment on that. Have you asked your g.p about it or ms nurse if you have one?

The person that Ron has mentioned... knows all about ldn etc. So he should be better qualified to help with your question.

Let us know how you get on.

Michelle

Hi and welcome (as I quickly pop in from a huge break I'm presently taking)

Yes, one can take Gabapentin and other painkillers and LDN at the same time. It's painkillers with codeine or opiates in them which one shouldn't take with LDN.

Having said that, some people (myself included) have experienced pain relief from LDN.

Hi folks,   Ive been on Gabapentine for about a month and notice diddly squat of a difference with regards to my internal buzzing.   I do feel slightly dizzy but that's about it. I have been told that weight gain is also a side effect - I wondered what happened to my six pack. Its a keg now.   As for the anti fatigue drug amatandine, I was having to have a kip about an hour after taking it.   Also gave me indigestion.   Andy

    • ladies' problem and gabapentine/baclofen

Hiya, I started gabapentine a week ago, and baclofen 2 weeks ago. Over the weekend and last night (3 nights out of 4) I have had EXTREMELY heavy bleeding. I'm not going to be course but we're talking about (apologises) flooding, not just a heavy period.   I wondered if it could be the tablets, prob gabapentine as that started more recently. I also have PCOS which means I have had this problem before, but only twice in my life, not as often as this!! When it happened before I phoned an emergency doctor.   I'm going to try to get a doctors app today. It's just so horrid. So far it's only happened at night, my goodness what if it happened in the day? At work? It would be so awful.   I just wondered if anyone else had had this?   Thanks for reading, Take care, Laura xx
