Unless I am doing something very wrong, it looks like you can't add attachments in a Private Message.

I know you can add links, but that is a bit fiddly and I don'y have the energy at the moment.

Is this something that could be added or is that how the software and we just have to live with it?

Running over the same old ground.

What have we found?

The same old fears.

Yes, I'm afraid attachments aren't allowed in PMs.

Adding a link shouldn't be fiddly as long as you add the "http://" bit at the front, as it's this that makes it clickable. Generally, if you copy a link from the address bar in a browser, it will copy it with the "http//:" bit.

Ok, I see.

Yes, I've added links before, so I know how that works. I just wanted to be a bit lazy and attach a document directly, like you can when posting. Never mind, I will get around to it some time.

Thanks.

Paul

Paul,

Use Dropbox, Google Drive, Skydrive or one of the available cloud type services to upload the file and then provide the link to it.

Yep, I know. That's what I end up having to do generally, I just wanted to be extra lazy today, since I'm not having a particularly great time.

About Us

Founded in 2004, MS People UK is a community website and discussion forum by and for people with Multiple Sclerosis as well as for friends, families, supporters and those interested in this disabling condition.

If you’re newly diagnosed or want to ask about possible first symptoms, or if you’ve had Relapse Remit, Secondary or Primary Progressive MS for some time, a welcoming group of fellow MS sufferers is here to chat with you about MS symptoms, diagnosis and treatments.

The atmosphere is friendly whilst being compassionate, supportive and caring. Members also post about a variety of subjects not related to MS, as well as share jokes, talk about their hobbies, have fun, and more.

The MS People Forum is not responsible for advice or information supplied by members. We suggest you seek medical advice before trying anything.
