Hi All

Haven't been in for a while but I really need some advice. We have just booked a holiday to Orlando and it was suggested that I hire a mobility scooter while I'm there. Has anyone done this before? Can you recommend any companies that will hire out a scooter for 14 days? What was your experience of using the company and using the scooter itself?

Sorry for all the questions but this will be the first time I'll have been on holiday since being diagnosed.

Hi Terri,

Lovely to hear from you hon :hearts_circle:

I've never been to Orlando so can't really help. I do recall a lady at my old MS support group saying that she'd been to Disneyland in Orlando and there were loads and loads of people using scooters so I imagine they'll be easily found.

Are you staying in a hotel? if so perhaps you could email or call them and ask if they can recommend anywhere? I'm sure you wouldn't be the 1st guest to ask the question.

Hope this helps a little x

Hi, I am wondering what others do for holiday insurance.... I notified my insurance company of my MS... Which is now CIS... They asked me some specific questions regarding my disability... Which I could not answer fully because I don't know and supposedly the professionals don't either..... I do plan to ask my doctor, which of course she will not want any liability for I'm sure.   I just want to protect myself as being in South Africa without proper cover would be scary to say the least.   Any advise or tips gratefully received.     Just checking.... I don't think I need jabs... But do these type of holiday jabs affect your MS?   Xxx
