Hi Lynn,

I hope you find the day useful. Looking at the time you may not see this before you go but, having just responded in your thread regarding the gym, it did just occur to me that it might be worth asking some of the other people there, or the nurses, if they have any recommendations for gyms or exercise in general.

Let us know how you get on today.

I went to the information day it was great! They fed us up and plenty of drinks non alcohol im afraid lol.Anyway They spoke about medications and the dreaded EXCERCISE and HEALTHY EATING...LOL

They said we must excercise it would help with fatigue, but not over do it,like you all said, Cardivascular excercise is great for us.

So tomorrow Im joining the gym.

They also said you dont necessarily have to join gym ie walking, swimming anything is a bit of exercise anything that gets us moving.

Thank you everyone. My doctor spoke to someone at the gym and they said that they will do a plan for me and go careful. I cant start atm, as i dont have the money, so will contact my ms nurse tomorrow as she mentioned getting yellow card, some counties have to get money off certain places, like cinema, swimming and gym ect

You can get a cinema card Lynn but you need to be in receipt of DLA. It's called a CEA card and is available from the link below. Basically you get 2 tickets for the price of one.

Also you should be eligible for a free disabled bus pass from your local council and a disabled rail card too of course.

    • Seeking information from MS Trust?

The MS Trust makes excellent information films. They've recently released one about the way enquiries for information are handled to ensure all contacts are shown the paths and choices before them. See here:       Tip: subscribe to the MS Trust YouTube channel while watching this one!   I recently visited the MS Trust offices and met the people in this film. • Some useful information

I was at an appointment yesterday at the local hospital neurology department and saw some first class booklets on MS and fatigue and on cognitive function.
