How to send PMs

There is a little icon in the shape of an envelope beneath members' names in topic posts which, if you click on it, opens up a PM to send to that member.

 

There are various other ways to send someone a PM:

 

- Hover over their name or avatar anywhere in the forum. This will show their profile card, where there's an icon with a little envelope on the left, saying "Message". This is probably the easiest way to send a PM.

 

- Go to the Members list and try to find them, then hover over their avatar as above.

 

- Go to "Messages", which is the PM system, either by clicking on "Messages", in the drop-down menu beneath "Members" in the top main menu, or by clicking on the "Messages" icon in the user bar menu next to your next on the top right of any page.

 

When in the full "Messages" page, click the "Compose New" button. Start typing the name of the member you want to PM in the box marked "To". As you start typing, it will start to suggest names to you. Make sure you get the correct name in the event of there being more than one member with a similar name.
