If you haven’t uploaded a profile “photo” of your own, you can change the avatar with your initial on it. Please note, this is only available to the Members group and above, not to Newbies.

Go to your Profile. On the bottom right of your avatar is a small button with a dot in it.

Click on it and it will open the “Avatar Generator”.

In here are 3 types of avatar that you can have:

  • Letters (like the default)
  • Abstract
  • Cats

Letters:

In here, you can change the colours of the background and of your initial, and you can change the position of your initial. Note that it only gives you a single colour without the dual colour gradient that the default gives. Dual letters can only be applied if your member name is two words.

Text X Offset: moves horizontally (sideways)
Text Y Offset: moves vertically (up/down)

Abstract:

In here, you can choose from a variety of abstract patterns, change the background colour, add some “fur” (more patterns), add your initial.

Cats:

If you’re a cat lover, you’ll love this one. You can do all of the above plus choose different cat “bodies”, different eyes, mouths, fur, and add a variety of accessories such as hats, ties, headphones.

About Us

Founded in 2004, MS People UK is a community website and discussion forum by and for people with Multiple Sclerosis as well as for friends, families, supporters and those interested in this disabling condition.

If you’re newly diagnosed or want to ask about possible first symptoms, or if you’ve had Relapse Remit, Secondary or Primary Progressive MS for some time, a welcoming group of fellow MS sufferers is here to chat with you about MS symptoms, diagnosis and treatments.

The atmosphere is friendly whilst being compassionate, supportive and caring. Members also post about a variety of subjects not related to MS, as well as share jokes, talk about their hobbies, have fun, and more.

The MS People Forum is not responsible for advice or information supplied by members. We suggest you seek medical advice before trying anything.
