Hi well i go to my local fish and chip restaurant quite often and i get seniors rate. I am not a senior citizen and have never asked for, i was taking the price deduction as a nice gesture until someone said you obviously look old enough to qualify ha. My ex mother inlaw when offered senior rate for swimming 20 years ago complained ha.

Would you be offended?

merry christmas, Peter

My barber used to suggest pensioner rates to me, when I used to go in there at various times through the day.

I used to ask him if he was having a laugh - I'd retired at the age of 50! :ouch:

I just used to tender the same amount as usual, telling him to keep the change........ as usual!:howdy:

No!  Take it where you can!  Besides, pensioners proper can start at 55.  Perhaps they should ask to see a bus pass.  67 would look older than 55.

Cost reduction, is saving money.  DS didn't grow much as a toddler and was let into National Trust Properties till he was 7 years old for free, bus fares also.  Did I feel guilty?  No.
