Hi all

Pidgeons, are they beautiful intelligent helpful birds sadly misunderstood? Or flying rats sent by the 👿 to sit on my ariel and s*** on my window? I'm torn.

Best wishes

That's one of life's unanswerable questions.

I suppose that they feel that they're a disregarded resource after their courier service was put out of business shortly after World War One.

Having diversified into racing and Homing, their standard of living has never recovered. Now, their key role may be being bred by rebel factions in Yorkshire, who, dissatisfied with their last attempt at subterfuge to take over the country by flooding it with their tea, are now content to despatch their messengers of shock'n'awe to cover the Southern Powerhouse and seats of Government with Urban Guano.

Maybe it depends on the type of pigeon?

There is no strict division between pigeons and doves and there are many species all over the world. Find out more about the types of pigeon and doves in the UK

For me, (grey) squirrels are misunderstood! They may look and - sometimes - act cute, but they're just rats with long fluffy tails, and are vermin. They destroy bird feeders, get in your loft and chew away at wires, and carry out whatever other destructive things they can think of, etc :grrrr:
