Old Money

 

 

How well do you remember or know of the "old money" of pounds shillings and pence? All of the clues below relate to an amount expressed in "old money". All you have to do is work out the amount for the clue and write is in the boxes opposite, then add up the total. Some of the answers might be slang for a particular coin, others are perhaps a little comic, so beware!

Angela,

I haven't got a clue as to no.8 either. Andrew remarked that he didn't grow up with old money. :angryexplode: I guess that makes me old,cos I did. I can remember going down the sweet shop with a couple of pennies if I was lucky.

I was going to say I couldn't remember either! but I see your four years younger than me!.

I remember my eldest sister giving me a game of snap for my birthday,new had to match old old,I only go as far back as the old halfpenny though!
