Ooooh Tut, Tut, Chris!!
What did I do Dawn? I didn't write the song, honest.

Anymore.

I don't want the hotels,

I don't want the bars,

I don't need you calling round here...

I really am closing down now, so night all, :nodding:

HERE I am,

Playing with those memories again

And just when I thought time had set me free

Those thoughts of you keep haunting ME.......

(Another Air Supply song I'm afraid!)

We both know that it's wrong

But it's much too strong

Hi Dawn, :wavebunny:

I've been playing around with all kinds of twisted words to add to your last entry, and have been trying to use Ways I'de to follow on from your last entry.

Finally must admit defeat,

Rather than to play and cheat,

You set us such an awesome feat,

So this time round you have me beat! :nodding:

Google normally does such a great job, but this time he let me down - please put me out of my misery and tell me which song those lines are from.

All the best,

I think it was Billy Paul who sang it called Only the Strong Survive, got to number 33 back in November 1977.

Perhaps if I add a few more lines it may help so here goes.

WAYSIDE

You gotta be strong

You gotta hold on

I say don't give up

No DON'T........

TRY to remember a kind of September

When life was slow

And oh so mellow

Try to Remember the kind of September

When grass was GREEN.......

Green door, what's that secret you're keepin'

There's an old piano

And they play it hot behind the green door

Don't know what they're doin'

But they laugh a lot behind the green door

Wish they'd let mein

Hi Dawn, glad you liked the ryme - I don't like to admit defeat, but I dislike cheating even more.

IN the navy

Yes, you can sail the seven seas

In the navy

Yes, you can put your mind at ease

In the navy

Come on now, people, make a stand

In the navy, in the navy

Can't you see we need a HAND.......

 Dawn

P.S. Would anyone else like to join in - it feels a bit like a two "person" show at the moment. Come on!!!

HAND so tight,

when you stopped to say hello,

you were me wishing well,

you couldn't tell,

that I'd been crying over YOU,

And a homecoming queen.

Cheer up, sleepy jean.

Oh, what can it mean.

To a daydream believer

And a homecoming queen.

With all this talk of queens, we seem to have a bit of a crossover between the two games.
