Well here it is and there has been absolutely no media coverage of MS Awareness Week.

What can we do?

I for one will be in the Victoria Centre Nottingham promoting the Nottingham MS Theray Centre on Monday (10 April) afternoon and also trying to make as many people as possible take notice of my new msrc wristband.

With an election on (in case you hadn't noticed!!) it means that there are lots of people, who just want the easy life and get elected, that we can ask lots of questions that they probably don't want to answer but it will raise awareness.

Please excuse my poor use of the English language but I wanted to get my ideas down quickly while they were still freash in my mind.

Most things in life are easy its just doing them well that's difficult!

Hi there

It is a pity that there is no media or any promotion that it is MS Awareness week. It is also the Global Week of Action for Trade Justice week which will no doubt get some advertising. I'm wearing my MSS orange wristband and hope that it may spark off some comments when people see it. No luck so far yet!! :sadwalk:

But if we at least tell one person the news may spread.

So happy MS Awareness Week to everyone :wavebunny:

oops, cap lock off! Happy MS Awareness week to you both!

And to all MSers around the country.

I am wearing my green MSRC band and so far I have had 7 inquiries about it! cool huh? So at least 7 more people are more aware. My work here is done, lol.

    • ms awareness week

i'm going to do a quick 5 minutes in the mornings with my colleagues from work during ms week, they're the people who take the brunt of my mood swings and occasionally sharp tongue. i spend nearly 8 hours a day with these people and nobody has had any contact with the disease, so i'd like to make them a bit more aware and hopefully a bit more understanding when i'm tired/ grumpy etc. i was in a really foul mood this morning and when my boss asked me if i was ok i said "no, i've got an incurable disease that's ruining my life" i felt like a complete arse as soon as i'd said it but deep down i think it's how i really feel.   i was planning on reading Pinned: Diary of MS - Symptoms to diagnosis and Pinned: Letter To Normals "An Open Letter To Those Without MS"   i've run out of ideas after this though. any suggestions?

Hello all,   I saw on the calender control that the MS Awareness Day has been noted as follows:   Saturday 16th April 2005   At   Spelthorne Leisure Centre   11:00AM to 3 PM   Does anyone know where 'Spelthorne' is, I am guessing it is somewhere in The Midlands, but have never heard of it.   With thanks and best wishes,   Ron
