Hi Hils, :headscratch:

That's a good idea, but before I add a few of my own, let's deal with your list:

strands of hair on soap - I'm with you on that one, especially curly ones.

the toilet seat being left up - That's something I've never done, but I understand why it's annoying. These days I couldn't stand if I wanted to, I've had to join the ladies.

ring pulls on tinned food - I love those, what have you got against them Hils?

On to my own:

Badly designed Web-sites that don't work properly.

Blowing noses in public, especially at the dining table.

People who eat with their mouths open.

People who talk across you, as though you're not there.

That will do for now. Keep smiling,

Hi all,

I agree with you about the soap - yuk.....

Throwing litter.... :bin2:

Spitting..... :stars:

People who pick their nose when looking at you.....or any time for that matter..

Chewing gum stuck to your shoes... :headscratch:

I could go on for ever, but I am quite tolerant - honestly.

Hope you're all well

Ang xx

I used to have a lot more pet hates when I was a teenager and severely intolerant. I've managed to shed most of them but here are a few that survived into adulthood:

Incorrect use of the possessive apostrophe :stars:

Long phone conversations (I get bored) :bin2:

Cleaning my parrot's cage :headscratch:

Reality TV :yuck:

Ang- I was sitting on the bus during the week and we had stopped outside the National Library where the Advocates have a reading room- one the Advocates was sitting in the window, happily picking his nose- quite unaware that the whole bus was watching him!

Hils- coathangers?

Have a good Saturday!

OOOhhh, lets see.

Spitting ( i have been known to clobber a complete stranger in the street for doing that next to me!)

Boy racers and blaring music (how UNcool, are they)

Not cleaning up after making a sarnie (i get to do it AGAIN)

Dirty laundry on the floor (next to the empty washing basket)

Toenail clippings on the bedroom floor (My side of the bed too, the cheeky wotsit)

Retail assistants that stand chatting or slap the money on the counter instead of in your outstretched hand

Drivers doing a rigid 30 miles an hour (whether the speed limit is 60, or not!)

Kids that use the F word like its going out of fashion

I'm starting to sound like my Mother, so i better stop :headscratch::stars:

Hi all,

Chris - ring pulls - I'm always terrified I'm going to slice my hand up on them, they are so sharp and take a bit of tugging sometimes. :hooray:

Susie - coathangers drive me nuts. I suppose i haven't got enough room in my wardrobe, the clothes are all crammed in and the hangers all get tangled with each other. :tortoiseride:

I'm right with you on the reality tv, Susie, can't bear it. :hooray:

Ang, once when we were on a beach and a family behind us walked off and left their litter lying there, I grabbed it, ran (those were the days!) after them and said that I believed this was theirs and had they forgotten it? They were somewhat red-faced. :hooray:

Julia - what a hoot - I expect we can all relate to yours. Toenail clippings :hooray:

Thought I wouldn't mention Chris's selection: just talk across him and pretend he's not here :hooray:

Hi Hils, :hooray:

I understand the ring pulls now, they can be a bit tough. If I'm honest I don't have to open many these days. I seem to remember some kind of plastic tool that you can get to make things easier.

I had to check back to see what I had said - very good response. :tortoiseride:

Hi Russ

Will you do that to me if I'm rude?

Is being (slightly) rude to those infuriating cold callers allowed?

Or playing them up a bit? I've never ever dared before (being ultra- polite & well brung up) but I tried this once recently with a BT caller when I was in the mood. I decided to be a really cretinous dumbo par excellence ... (absolutely no offence intended to anyone or thing! )

EG:

Q: "Are you the householder?" (What sort of polite question is that?)

A. "What did you say?

Q: Ditto"

A. "What does that mean?"

And so onon and on. V-e-r-y long pauses before very slow mumbled answers...pick from any of these at random:

"I don't know"

"I don't understand"

"What does that mean?"

"What did you say again?"

"If I get a pees of papper and a pensil, pleese will you say it slowly aggane so I can I rite that down and I will go and ask my daddy."

Etc etc etc for about 10 minutes...

Caller getting desperate but for some reason thinks she might just be able to get somewhere if she perseveres (WHY??)....But suddenly decides to call it a day

Russ, I'm on my best behaviour. :clap2: (Mind you - that chappie has a cute bum)

That is just brilliant Ann - :clap2: I would never have thought of doing that. I bet it drives them crazy.

Another one of my pet hates is dog poo on the pavement. If I ever saw a dog owner not clearing up after their pooch they would certainly get a piece of my mind :ouch: ::

Hi Angela, :clap2:

There's an awful lot of people that like the frog, I hear it's also released as a record, and is tipped for the number one spot.

Now, cricket, don't get meon to that Angie :wavebunny: Do I complain when Countdown is normally on ten times a week?

Sorry Angela, I couldn't resist that one. :ouch:

Have a good weekend, :clap2:

Ann,

I hear it is headed for the number one spot in the music charts.........scary or what!

If you look on page 2 of the 'Funny Files and Jokes' section, there was a post on 30 April 2005 at 10:54pm where you can see this frog in action.

Take care and best wishes,

Ann,

If you go into the 'Jokes' section, at the top of the page there is a section called 'Funny Files' or something similar, it is in there on page 2 near the bottom of the page.

Take care and best wishes,

Hi all :smarty:

Im not feeling to hot today so this is a perfect topic to rant and rave about :wink2:

People around you with a cold who continually snort half a gallon of snot back up their nose every 30 seconds :stars:

Sunday drivers, those who are in the "hat brigade" doing 20 in a 60 zone grrr! :mummy:

Christmas things in the shop from September??

Eurovision Song contest :help2:

forms! (1) not enough choices; (2) badly designed; (3) incomprehensible

People who claim things are true because they happened to a friend of a friend of a friend.....

Withheld telephone numbers :bashfish:

Windscreen washers- those who start washing ur windscreen at the traffic lights(even tho u have just come from a car wash and they dirty ur window again!!)

I think i'd better stop, feel a lot better :rain:
