God i love music, woke up in a bit of a grumpy one today - listened to the posted videos - now feeling a lot happier!

Talking of the Foo's - think this is my favourite of theirs:

Your welcome :-)

Thanks for that Laura!

Love the Foo's too. Saw them in 2008 at the Etihad Manchester. Amaze balls!

Need to line up something else very soon. Prob have to wait at least another couple of years before my beloved MUSE come around again. Wouldn't mind seeing Fall Out Boy, love ther tunes too!

One of my favorites , i used to play this when my ex was pregnant

with my daughter , and when my daughter was growing up , i was a 21year old punky type

when she was born so the lyrics were quite fitting :)

A much maligned band back in the day , mostly because they were the

first British punk band to release a single , and the Sex Pistols were the boys at the top

at the time !

I can remember lying in bed as a kid "i must have been 13" listening to a Damned session

on the John Peel show and i was hooked on punk ! not my favorite punk band "i suppose

if had to choose one it would be Stiff Little Fingers " but the Damned certainly opened my

ears to a new wave of music at the time .

OMG I love this thread! There are so many things I'd love to post, but at the mo Im trying to stay calm and accept where I am, so my contribution has to be Let It Be, The Beatles

And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me.

Shine on until tomorrow. Let it be.

Muse are outstanding live. EWatched them at Wembley and was open mouthed for the first 6 songs....probably looked a right loon.

Odd thing is they are not my fave band, probably not even in my top 10 but they are the tightest most amazing live act.

Yes I'm going to enjoy exploring all the links on YouTube (mobile went dead then suddenly played Revolution so i need to use the computer when its free!) I had wondered why everyone was so uncharaceristically quiet - now i know - its this thread! Well, my contribution is to say i loved French as a teen and also Nilson (yes i was love-lorn) so a French version of Without You really takes me back, called Papillon i think -

Butterfly, my butterfly dans un mois je reviendrai, butterfly my butterfly pres de toi je resterai ...

Ha ha bit different from Muse and the Doors!

i've not ever been to a music festival :( but did go to Monsters of Rock (now download) back in 1988 when Iron Maiden headlined. I saw the Irons again in 2011 at the O2 in London for the last night of their Final Frontier tour. Luckily we had seating on the upper level for that as when we saw The Cult at the Bristol O2 back in February 2011 we had just secured a good standing position at the front when the muscle spasms kicked in & I had to be tended to by paramedics and ended up watching the rest of the show from the back :( damn you MS!!

The closest we get to seeing live bands now are local talent bands in our local pubs in & around town. The best of which are a group of local lads who go by the name of The Foo Fakers who started off just doing covers of the Foo Fighters but have progressed by covering anything rock n metal orientated. They do a smashing cover of Teenage Kicks by the Undertones that is, in my opinion, better live than the Undertones were.

On another note, we have just recently had new tenants move into the flat above us & it turns out that the lad part of the young couple was lead guitarist of this band from the Leicester area called Roxum & from what we regularly hear of him practising his guitar play, he is a damn fine example of Britain having talent unlike the dross that appears in the "charts" every week.

Remember getting this included in a freed CD of up and coming bands many moons ago , think there was three Muse tracks on it , probably still got stored away in a box somewhere ....

One of my all time favorite albums , could never get sick of listening to it , some of the most magical lyrics that could ever be wrote are in this album !!!
