Hi All,
I have had SPMS for some 15 years, with the main problem being mobility, with occasional (usually) night-time spasms (big toes bending upwards, nearly always right foot) whilst this used to be more annoying than anything else, it has got worse over the last few weeks and can last for over 3 hours at a time. It is now having a devastating impact on my routine, and I would love to hear any tips or advice from members on coping techniques.
I currently take up to 8 Baclofen daily, which I do think are effective any more, and am currently on a trial for Sativex- but this does not seem to touch an aggressive episode like last night, even a Diazepam on top didn't help
I have tried Gabapentin but had a bad reaction, and although usually effective, I don't want to become reliant on Diazepam.
Any help massively appreciated.
Regards
Mark
Hi , I am still walking reasonably well and am trying to keep it that way, but am getting a lot of pain from the toes of one foot curling under when I walk. It hurts and makes me limp. Does anyone else get this?
I realized after discarding many favorite shoes that any pressure at all on that foot (including tight sock!) makes it worse. I need really, really wide fittings. Any thoughts fellow limpers?
Hi people, hope all are good and enjoying this crazy weather that the UK is experiencing!
I've a question about high arches and claw toes as I appear to have both. I'd not really thought anything of the high arches though the claw-looking toe is new and I did ask opinion on here a few months ago.
I'm usually a kean runner, but the last 18 months I've been experiencing pain down the outside edge if my knee. MRI scan on knee is clean.
I realise that I'm probably running using the outer side of my feet (under pronation if you want the technical phrase), and this is causing knee probs. having looked into it further it seems that high arches cause this kind if running issue.
I've now looked into high arches and found that they are rare - and usually a product of bone or neurological symptoms. As is claw toe.
I'm now worried that MS spasms are causing problems in my feet. Does anybody have any experience / advice? Is there a way of loosening the spasm my feet are possibly experiencing?
There is no pain in my feet unless I overdo it sonetimed. I hope I'm barking up wrong tree
Thanks in advance for any input.
I keep getting spasms in my legs, which is often accompanied by a strong burning sensation in my feet. I don't see my neuro for another month. Is there anything I can buy or ask my gp to prescribe me to help with these symptoms? Has anyone else got experience dealing with these things? After 10 or so spasms one after the other it starts to get painful :( feeling rather fed up of this :(
Hi all Hope everybody is ok , i havent been on in ages as i have been doing amazing and feeling great :) However small blip today as my throat went into spasm for about 3hrs :( it has stopped now but really scared me , does anybody Else suffer with this ? Thanks Tracy x
